Need more to do out there? Morris Arboretum’s kid-favorite Garden Railway display is set up, too, including a Thomas the Tank Engine-themed Magic Railway Weekend on September 16th and 17th. Then head inside to the museum, since tickets to the maze include admission to Woodmere. Kids ages four to 11 (with an adult) can explore the tunnels, levels and zigzag spaces formed by the labyrinth. The PECO Multicultural Series continues at the Great Plaza at Penn’s Landing, with the Mexican Independence Day Festival on September 10th and the We Are the Seeds celebration of indigenous culture on September 16th. Then head to SSHP to relax on a hammock, play games and eat even more. Head to the original outdoor skating spot, Penn’s Landing’s Blue Cross RiverRink, which reprises its beloved Summerfest setup featuring arcades, rides, carnival games, putt-putt, and plenty of food and drink options. September 29th: Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.September 22nd: Minions: The Rise of Gru.September 15th: DC League of Super-Pets.There are also family-friendly movies planned every Friday night in September, and kids ages 12 and under can grab a “movie passport” to write their own reviews and get a stamp for each movie they attend.

And on Saturdays at 11 a.m., expect free entertainment like live music, dancing, and even superhero training on September 16th.Īfter the events, you can stick around and splash in the pond or hop in the sprayground, since both will stay open through late October. Toddlers can enjoy stories, songs and movement with the Free Library each Tuesday morning at 10:30 a.m. Parkway Pals may have ended its summer programming, but the free fun continues at Sister Cities Park with weekly Tuesday storytimes and Family Saturday events.
